To apply, follow these simple steps:

  1. Complete the application form below.
  2. Download and complete the Criteria Checklist to assess your own business. To be accredited, all Essential criteria must be met. Additional points can be earned by meeting Desired or Bonus criteria, which will increase your eligibility for award consideration. (Use the Criteria Explanation for assistance in understanding the criteria and how to meet it, if needed.)
  3. A trained BBN Assessor will contact you to arrange an appointment to visit the establishment and review the criteria checklist. The assessment is not a compliance inspection, but is an opportunity to go through the checklist and offer feedback and advice.


If all the essential criteria are met, the premises will receive BBN accreditation. Licensees who meet all the Essential criteria and additional Desired and/or Bonus criteria will be considered for an award by a judging panel. A winner and two runners up will be identified in five different categories. Accreditation plaques and all awards will be presented at an Awards Event.
